Privacy
No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no trackers. This page explains what that means in practice, and what the two things you can type into the product actually do.
What is collected about you
Nothing. The product has no accounts to sign in to, sets no cookies, and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. There is no session, no profile and no record of a visit beyond the ordinary server logs described below.
Nothing is shared with, sold to, or sent to a third party, because nothing is gathered to share in the first place.
The pay you type
What you earn is the most personal thing the product asks for, and it is the thing most carefully handled: your pay never leaves your browser. It is held in the page while you read it, used to re-price rent against what you actually make, and forgotten the moment you close the tab.
It is deliberately kept out of the address bar as well. A place and a layer are worth sharing; a salary is not, so a link you copy carries the map you were reading and nothing about you.
What weightings you set
Saying what matters to you — how much Money counts against Stress, whether you earn from somewhere other than the map — is handled the same way. It shapes the reading in front of you, stays in the page, and is written nowhere else.
What the URL carries
The address of a map names the place you are looking at, the layer you chose, and which reference the numbers are measured against. That is what makes a reading shareable, and it is all a shared link contains.
Server logs
Pages are served by Cloudflare, which keeps the ordinary request logs any web host keeps — the page asked for, the time, the IP address it was asked from. They exist to serve pages and keep the site up, they are not joined to anything else, and no attempt is made to identify a reader from them.
Fonts and third-party content
The typefaces are served from this site rather than fetched from a font host while you read, so loading a page contacts nobody but this site. There are no embedded videos, maps, comment widgets, share buttons or social pixels.
The data on the map
Every number here describes a place rather than a person: rent, wages, mental distress and life expectancy, published in aggregate by public bodies. The product holds no data about individuals at all.
If this changes
Adding analytics, advertising or anything that collects a reader's details would make most of this page untrue, so the page would change in the same release rather than after it.
